A musical prodigy from Melbourne, Australia, Michael Cristiano has been immersed in music since childhood. Starting with classical guitar lessons at six, he quickly mastered the instrument and delved into various genres, from rock and jazz to composition and arrangement. His talents as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter propelled him into the spotlight at a young age, leading him to perform with renowned artists and eventually become the musical director for The Seekers.

In the mid-90s, Michael teamed up with country music star Donna Fisk as Fisk & Cristian, achieving chart-topping success and earning industry accolades. Their anthem, ‘‘N Footy, captivated audiences, culminating in a performance at Melbourne’s MCG Stadium witnessed by millions. As a highly acclaimed producer, Michael’s name is synonymous with multi-platinum-selling albums for iconic artists like The Seekers, Judith Durham, Russell Morris, Mirusia and more.

Michael was recognised in 2020 for his release of ‘Forever Grateful’, an anthem of thanks and support for healthcare professionals worldwide during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2024, Michael released ‘Mai Finirà‘, his all-original Italian-language album that blended poetic lyricism with emotionally charged rock production. The album received airplay across Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia and was praised for its passion, authenticity, and masterful musicianship. In June 2025, Michael was announced as World Music Finalist in the Intercontinental Music Awards for ‘Sangue Tricolore‘, ‘Oggi No‘ and ‘È Tutta Una Poesia‘.

Michael has captivated a whole new audience with the release of ‘Espero Que Te Quiera‘, the first Spanish-language version of ‘Spero Che Ti Vuole‘, from his celebrated album ‘Mai Finirà‘. Since releasing ‘Espero Que Te Quiera’ on July 4, Michael has garnered the attention of radio stations and Spotify playlist curators in Spain, Peru, Mexico and Brazil.

On August 15, Michael Cristiano is set to release ‘Es Todo Un Poema‘, the Spanish-language version of ‘È Tutta Una Poesia‘, with his focus shifting to working on his second all-Italian album for 2026.
